OEL’s core value proposition is its cloud-based platform, OLT-ERP. The modular construction of the platform allows the company to offer its solution as XaaS (anything as a service). The platform’s cloud computing technology and remote access, along with its number of products and tools, can be delivered to users as a service over the internet. OLT-ERP is a collection of various modules that cater to the specific needs of higher education institutes. These modules are briefly discussed in the sections that follow.
Academic Module
This module is one of the most comprehensive offerings in the company’s portfolio. The module covers all academic activities. Academic activities are the backbone for any academic institution that includes Student Registration, Attendance, Timetable, Online & offline classroom teaching, sharing of course materials, online quizzes, Biometric attendance, Feedback, Elective course bidding, Result Preparation, grading, the printing of mark sheets, degrees etc., maintenance of archive data and many more.
The module is set to be accessed by three distinct users, Admin, faculty, and students. It also features a host of submodules such as:
Student Profile – Allow students to create and maintain a comprehensive profile on the platform that becomes the basis of their access to the platform.
Biometric Attendance – OLT-ERP provides the attendance management system using fingerprint technology in the university environment for employees and students. It is an integral component of the HR & Leave module. It provides monthly attendance with over-time, short leave, late(s) and man- hours per employee deployed on a monthly basis.
Online class – Tool to access the real-time class online or watch recorded sessions
Timetable – The timetable Module is the functionality of the Academic Module, in which the students and faculties can schedule their timings for any academic session or activity. It thus helps the users to plan their academic sessions and Programme accordingly.
Elective Course Bidding – Tool to choose and bid on elective courses
LCMS – The complete integration of a student’s curriculum from elective course bidding to timetable and access to discussion forums within the courses. The elective courses also open access to learning content and web classes.
Study material sharing – In this module, the faculty can share PPT, PDF and any other audio/visual course material/ assignments with the students in real or scheduled time.
Assignment module – Tools to submit and view assignments.
Feedback – Two-way communication tool between instructors and students.
Examination – Assessment tool.
Result preparation – Marks and paper submission.
Grade card & Transcript – Grading based on customised rubrics deployed by the institute.
